Philip Reeve offers a new perspective on King Arthur. Editorial Reviews. It is a very unique take on the tale of Arthur and his "knights". It's historical, rather than fantastical, and in the guts and gore school rather than any kind of romance. The main character, Gwyena/Gwyen* is in a very interesting position. It reminded me very much of The Crystal Cave or one of Rosemary Sutcliffe's books.
